Investing in Iklin
A small, modern residential village in central Malta, built mostly within living memory and lived in by families.
The case
Why investors buy in Iklin
Iklin is one of Malta’s newer localities, built out over recent decades between Naxxar, Lija and Birkirkara. Almost everything here is modern, which makes it an unusually consistent housing stock by Maltese standards.
It is a family address rather than a rental one. Buyers want space, parking and a quiet street within easy reach of the centre, and they tend to stay once they have it.
For a buyer the appeal is simplicity: recent construction means less to put right, and a small, well-defined market means fewer variables. The trade is a modest transaction volume and a thin lettings market.
