The case

Why investors buy in Balzan

Balzan is the smallest of the Three Villages and among the most tightly held addresses in Malta. Its core is period housing on narrow streets, and the village has resisted the kind of building out that reshaped its neighbours.

That scarcity is the whole story. Very few properties trade here in any given month, so a buyer is often waiting for the right one rather than choosing between several, and prices hold accordingly.

Letting is a secondary consideration. Demand exists for family houses, but the stock is not the small-apartment kind that drives a rental market, and most owners here are living in what they bought.
